A classic of horror and survival video games will return with a new version for PC and the most recent generation consoles and that is this Friday THQ Nordic has finally made official its plans for a remake of Alone in the Dark.
In the context of its news presentation, THQ Nordic indicated that this new title will invite players to return to 1920 New Orleans and try to survive the mysteries of the Derceto Mansion. However, the company maintains that this game will not be just an update to the Alone in the Dark original, but also will add new stories and elements as part of its reinvention.
Thus, as reported polygonalthe new Alone in the Dark will feature Mikael Hedberg (Soma, Amnesia: The Dark Descent) at the head of his creative team and behind an original story that “incorporates characters, locations, and thematic elements from the first three games in the Alone in the Dark series.. All while his proposal will follow the adventures of Emily Hartwood and Edward Carnby, who will star in independent campaigns that will eventually cross.

This version of Alone in the Dark It has been in development since 2019, but its managers did not detail a date for its launch contemplated for PS5, Xbox Series X / S and PC.
