amd has presented the new range of Ryzen 7020 Series and Athlon 7020 Series processors for laptops, based on Zen 2 architecture cores and with AMD RDNA 2 graphics, which offer autonomy for up to twelve hours of use.
The new Ryzen and Athlon 7020 Series mobile processors are built on the TSMC’s 6nm technology, that improves autonomy allowing to offer up to twelve hours of operation. In the case of the Ryzen 7020 Series, these processors increase multitasking speed by 58 percent and application startup speed by 31 percent.
They are built with Zen 2 architecture cores and AMD RDNA2 graphics architecture, and support support for up to four displays powered by the Radeon 610M integrated graphics series and for advanced decoding for high-resolution streaming, as stated in a note press on its official website.
AMD has highlighted that these processors are prepared for computers that have Windows 11and technologies like modern standby, voice start, fast charging and fast LPDDR5 memory.
The company has detailed that there are three processor models, two from the Ryzen 7020 series (Ryzen 5 7520U and Ryzen 3 7320U) and one from the Athlon 7020 series (Athlon Gold 7220U), which offer a processing speed of up to 4 .3 Ghz, in the most advanced model.
Laptops powered by Ryzen and Athlon 7020 Series processors are expected to be available from the fourth quarter of 2022, from the hand of brands such as Acer, HP and Lenovo. Specifically, Acer has confirmed the new Acer Aspire 3 14 and Aspire 3 15 laptops with Ryzen 7020 Series processors, while HP will integrate them into its new 17-inch laptop, and Lenovo into the next generation IdeaPad.
