According to studies presented in the country, 8 out of 10 adults have made purchases online at some point after the pandemic. In 2021, 73% of Guatemalans did it this way and represented a growth of 118% compared to 2020.
These figures show that e-commerce is part of the new normal for Guatemalans by 2022.
When the pandemic began in 2020, Guatemala already had 2,000 online stores. Without a doubt, the growth of electronic commerce accelerated, since in less than 3 years more ways emerged to create solutions such as payment links, online store enabling systems and group purchasing, according to consulting firms specialized in strategic monitoring, digital marketing audit and online reputation management.

More than 50 products can be purchased from a wide range of categories such as floors, walls, taps, bathrooms, kitchens, plumbing, electrical and lighting, among others, and be delivered to the store or home within 24 to 72 hours.
