Cuban Foreign Minister exchanges at the UN with counterparts from several countries

As part of the agenda of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, held meetings with counterparts from just over a dozen nations .

He met, until Tuesday afternoon, with the foreign ministers of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek; from Portugal, João Cravinho; from Syria, Faisal Mekdad; from Nicaragua, Denis Moncada, and from Timor-Leste, Adaljiza AXR Magno.

He also held a fraternal meeting with the Argentine Foreign Minister, Santiago Cafiero, with whom he discussed the common challenges of our region, and recognized the role of Argentina against CELAC.

Likewise, he met with the foreign ministers of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar; from Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, and her counterparts from Guinea Bissau, Suzi Carla Barbosa, and the Marshall Islands, Kitlang Kabua. She also met Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The Cuban diplomat highlighted in all cases the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between the Island and those nations, and highlighted the results and potential of bilateral collaboration.
