Judo Youth World Cup: A white Thursday

Written by ebookingservices

The Cuban judo squad went blank the day before when his representative of the day at the Guayaquil Youth World Cup, Lutmary García, was eliminated in the premiere match.

The 18-year-old girl, from the 63-kilogram division, debuted (and said goodbye) against the demanding Brazilian Kaillany Cardoso, fourth in the world ranking of the category, who scored an early waza-ari and shortly after put an end to the fight through waza-ari-awasete-ippon.

At the moment, favorite Japan tops the overall table among 63 contending nations, with Cuba in ninth place thanks to bronze by Kimy Bravo (66 kg), who won four times and only lost one match.

Today the Cubans Idelannis Gómez (70 kg) and Serguei Rodríguez (90 kg) will enter into actionin an appointment that will last until next Sunday.
