Several generations of Cubans have laughed with Mario Aguirre, both for his witty monologues and for his charismatic characters, among them that of Atanasio Pinduales, of great popular acceptance, whom he respects because, in his opinion, humor should be approached with seriousness and professionalism, as he confessed to the press.
Nominated on more than one occasion for such an important award and winner of the Acting Award for Life’s Work in 2019, this time the jury did justice by highlighting the work of this artist, devoted to his audience for more than 50 years.
