RABAT, Morocco (AP) — Vahid Halilhodžić, the coach who led Morocco to a World Cup qualification, was sacked Thursday with just three months to go before the tournament kicks off in Qatar.

The Moroccan football federation reported that the decision to fire the Bosnian strategist was due to differences in the preparation of the selected team.

Morocco will debut on November 23 against Croatia, finalist of the 2018 World Cup. They will also face Belgium and Canada in Group F.
