Neymar, Messi and Iniesta, the footballers who inspired Luca De la Torre

“I didn’t watch football on TV when I was a kid. He preferred to watch videos on Youtube of Neymar, Iniesta and Messi. I really liked to dribble So I tried to imitate Neymar mainly” confessed the national team midfielder.

a different path

Unlike other American soccer players, Luca chose to take another path and therefore never debuted in the MLS, since he signed a contract with Fulham from England after playing for the San Diego Surf.youth club of the city of San Diego.

“I don’t recall any MLS clubs looking for a 15-year-old boy.and on the other side came Fulham, one of the best academies in England at the time, so I definitely couldn’t doubt it,” said Luca.
