DENVER (AP) — Albert Pujols and Nolan Arenado homered Wednesday and combined for seven hits in the St. Louis Cardinals’ 9-5 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Colombian José Quintana made his second outstanding start for the Cardinals, supported by the batting of Dominican Pujols and Arenado, who had producer hits in a five-run attack during the first inning.

In the sixth, the two sluggers hit their home runs in a row to make it 8-2. Pujols had four hits and was one triple away from completing the cycle.
