Silken Hotels strengthens synergies with delivery companies

Javier Villanueva, CEO of Silken Hotels, participated in two of the tables of the eProcurement Tech Summit 2022 organized by Voxel, in Barcelonawhere companies from the delivery sector dialogued with the restaurant and hotel industry. A day in which Javier Villanueva spoke about how the delivery opportunity arose in a fundamental area for Silken Hotels, such as restaurants and hotels, fostering synergies and establishing relationships with partners, while enriching the customer experience. He also delved into the digital transformation of these, in which, as he stated, “… the acquisition of digital tools for restoration has allowed us to optimize processes and make more agile and precise decisions…”.

Silken Hotels approached the delivery sector during the pandemic. In the words of Villanueva: “Our establishments have always stood out for their restaurant services, this, together with prime locations, has meant that we have always been well positioned in that segment. With the pandemic, we had to reinvent ourselves to continue using our assets and we saw the opportunity, among other services such as coliving, to work in delivery since customers had the need to continue consuming from home.”

When asked about how it affects the income statement, Villanueva has no doubts: “For Silken Hotels, delivery means promoting synergies. We have large kitchens, good locations within the cities, resources, clients within the hotel. Therefore, we can provide service to the hotel customer so that they feel at home and improve the experience within the establishment, as well as to the external customer, making fundamental synergies with partners such as Just Eat”.

The conferences were also an opportunity to delve into the transformation of the sector. “For Silken Hotels, the acquisition of digital tools has allowed us to establish processes that have helped us optimize the management part of decision-making and minimize daily human errors. Using the key tools allows us to have more information, be more agile and act faster”. Regarding the search for that ideal app that manages everything or search for specialized applications, Villanueva clarifies: “There is no black or white, but first knowing the core of each of the businesses to find the ideal tools that best suit it. The key is that these tools are flexible with time and business”.
