After premiering it live at Madrid’s Mad Cool and launching a lyric video, The Killers finally premiere the official video clip of their new single, “Boy”.
the leader of The Killers Brandon Flowers, on the occasion of the publication of the new song “Boy”, explained: “This was the first song written after we had to cancel the tour ‘Imploding The Mirage’ due to the pandemic. I recently moved back to Utah and started taking trips to Nephi, where I grew up. I found that the place I had wanted so desperately to get away from at sixteen was now a place I couldn’t help but return to. I have a son who is close to the age I was at that time in my life. With ‘Boy’, I want to reach out and tell myself, and my kids, not to think about it too much. And to look for the ‘white arrows’ in their lives. For me, now, the white arrows are my wife, my children, my songs and the stage”.
Flowers has also revealed that the band have been working on their next album, material for which will be released later this year. He added, “You will be listening to singles this year. The full album will probably be out early next year, but there will definitely be more releases this year.”
The clip has been produced by Boris Vassallo and HVH, while the editing has been carried out by Jen Kennedy.
