Sebastian Vettel He is a different pilot, always committed to a multitude of causes. Since 2010, he is President of the Pilots Association (GPDA), so an administrative role would not be new to him. That’s why, Stefano Domenicali wants to have him in the body: “Sebastian will always be connected to Formula 1, and of course we want that connection to continue in the future.”
The president of Formula 1 had a conversation with Vettel after the announcement of his retirement. The Italian, in statements to the German newspaper bildacknowledges having “heard in the press” goodbye to the four-time world champion.
“If you want to be part of the system and our approaches fit, of course you would be welcome”, Domenicali affirms, although “it is already known that after this year he wants to spend more time with his family”.
One of the issues with which the German driver has been most committed has been ecology, and in relation to comments made by Vettel himself, Domenicali wanted to clarify that Formula 1 is up to date on this issue: “We are not lagging behind when it comes to technology, quite the opposite. I myself will witness the beneficial fuel for the environment in Formula 1″.
